About

We help you cut through VPN marketing claims and pick a service that fits how you use the internet — streaming, torrenting, everyday privacy, or getting online from a restrictive country.

HidVPN is an independent site focused on one thing: helping you choose a VPN that works for your situation. We evaluate every provider against the same criteria — server network and speed, audited no-logs claims (not just marketing copy), streaming and torrenting support, pricing transparency, and how the service holds up in day-to-day use. Where a provider falls short, we say so — our comparisons only work if they’re honest.

How We Review VPNs

We test VPNs ourselves on a Windows 11 laptop in Sydney, using free plans, trials and refund windows: speed with fast.com, IP/DNS/WebRTC leak checks, kill switch behaviour, and streaming access where we try it. Each tested review shows the date and our screenshots (see FastestVPN and NordVPN). Where we haven’t tested a provider yet, the review says so and cites the published audits and data it relies on.

Who's Behind HidVPN

HidVPN is run by Ayman Harb, who reviews and compares VPNs from Western Sydney, Australia. His background is in computer science (systems design and working out how software really behaves), and he applies the same habit to VPN claims: what a no-logs policy actually covers, who audited it, and where the marketing outruns the documentation. We’re not owned by any VPN provider, and placement in our rankings is never for sale. Read how the site is funded on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
